Machine-readable table options and costs

When a machine readable table is created there are three ways to present the table in print.

Option How table appears in print Journal Cost ($)
1 Table printed in full 115 per printed page (115 minimum)
2 Sample table (~15 lines long) printed 115 per table
3 Placeholder printed 115 per table

If an author chooses option 1, the entire table will appear in the printed journal and a machine-readable table will be posted with the electronic edition. The machine-readable table will be created from the accepted table around the time of acceptance.

If the author wants to provide some context for the machine readable tables in the printed journal, option 2 provides for a ~15 line sample table. However, it is the responsibility of the author to create any sample table s under this option 2. Any sample tables should be cited and numbered as if it were a fully printed table. The author should also add the following to the sample table:

This table is available only on-line as a machine-readable table.

Under the last option only a placeholder table is printed. A placeholder table consists only of the table number and title and a note directing the reader to the electronic edition for the full data. No data appear in the printed version for these tables.
